Augen Zentrum Dietikon 

The Dietikon Eye Center is an ophthalmology practice centrally located in Dietikon and offers a comprehensive range of ophthalmological examinations as well as conservative and surgical treatments. The practice is led by Dr. med. univ. Peter Paul Ciechanowski, a specialist in ophthalmology and eye surgery (FMH, FEBO). Ophthalmological emergencies are treated on the same day whenever possible.

Ophthalmology, or the study of the eye, deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the eyes and vision. At the Dietikon Eye Center, we perform both routine preventive examinations and evaluations and treatments for acute or chronic eye conditions.

The range of medical services includes the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, retinal and macular diseases, dry eye, and eye infections. For cataracts, the center offers preliminary examinations, surgical treatments, and follow-up visits. For retinal and macular diseases, depending on the findings, the center may conduct follow-up examinations or provide medical treatments such as intravitreal therapies.

Another area of focus is pediatric ophthalmology and orthoptics. This includes the examination and treatment of refractive errors, strabismus, and amblyopia. Adults with newly developed strabismus or double vision can also be evaluated accordingly.

In addition, the Dietikon Eye Center offers laser treatments, evaluations for eyelid corrections and eyelid abnormalities, eyeglass fittings, and officially recognized vision tests for learner’s permits and driver’s licenses.

Preventive eye exams can be particularly helpful for the early detection of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal changes. Regular eye exams may also be advisable for individuals with diabetes, severe nearsightedness, high blood pressure, or those taking certain medications.
