The entire range of medical services (except eye surgery, operating theater in Visp) is offered in Visp (in the train station building) and in Sierre in the immediate vicinity of the train station. The Vista Alpina Eye Clinic offers the population of Valais a maximum of ophthalmological health services in its home canton. The medical spectrum and the specialist (medical) team are constantly being expanded. Dr. Kristof Vandekerckhove is one of the most experienced surgeons in Switzerland with over 20,000 cataract operations and an annual volume of over 5,000 eye operations.
