Nursing plays an essential role in the medical care of patients. At the Gare de Renens Medical Center, our nursing team works closely with the center’s physicians, as well as with general practitioners and specialists in the region, to ensure high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Our nursing consultations are available to patients at the center as well as to patients referred by their primary care physician or specialist.

Services Offered

• Wound care: management of acute or chronic wounds, monitoring of the healing process, and application of recognized care protocols. One of our nurses holds a CAS certification as a wound and healing specialist to ensure the management of more complex cases.

• IV infusions and injectable treatments: administration of medications intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously, including certain specialized treatments requiring nursing supervision.

• Iron infusions: Administration via infusion according to medical prescription and protocols tailored to each patient.

• Management of chronic conditions: support for patients requiring regular injections or treatments as part of their chronic disease management.

• Nursing advice and support: practical support to help patients better understand their treatment and promote their independence in daily life.

• REMLER: Setup and patient instruction for the 24-hour blood pressure monitoring device.

Our approach is based on close collaboration between nurses, primary care physicians, and specialists to ensure continuity and quality of care throughout the patient’s care journey.
