Dr. Pablo Valladares

Dr Pablo Valladares is Head of Clinic and FMH specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Internal medicine focuses on the comprehensive care of adults, from diagnosis to therapeutic follow-up of chronic or acute conditions, while the infectious diseases specialty is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infections of bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic origin.

Its activities cover inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases, tropical medicine and pathologies, infection prevention and control (HPCI), vaccinology, as well as the management of HIV, hepatitis and infections in humanitarian contexts. He pays particular attention to the management of multi-resistant bacteria and the development ofantibiotic stewardship programs.

Trained in Havana, Dr Valladares has completed several postgraduate FMH qualifications in Switzerland (infectiology, internal medicine, infection control) as well as a Diploma in Tropical Medicine (DTMH) in Glasgow/London. With over 8 years' experience in French-speaking Switzerland, he has worked at Unisanté (Lausanne) and the CHUV, as well as with Médecins Sans Frontières.

In 2025, he joined theEHC - Centre des maladies infectieuses et du voyage aux Pâquis in Morges, where he contributes to the development of a multidisciplinary approach to infectiology and tropical medicine, focusing on prevention, quality and accessibility of care.
