CHUV

The CHUV / Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois is a hospital center of European scope. It is one of five university hospitals in Switzerland, along with Geneva, Bern, Basel and Zurich.

In the healthcare field, the CHUV provides treatment in all medical specialties, including psychiatry. As a primary care hospital, it meets the needs of the population of the Greater Lausanne area. It is the referral hospital for the canton and much of French-speaking Switzerland, for patients requiring specialized and ultra-specialized care.

It plays a pioneering role at Swiss, European and even international level in recognized fields of excellence.

The CHUV also carries out community medicine and health missions, and supports prevention and public health efforts. In this respect, it works closely with the Public Health Department.
