### Presentation of the healthcare professional
Dr Diego de Goycoechea is a specialist in hematology. He is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of blood and bone marrow diseases, ranging from benign conditions to more complex hematological pathologies requiring specialized care.
A medical graduate from the National University of Córdoba in Argentina, he completed his postgraduate training in internal medicine and then hematology in his home country. His background has enabled him to acquire solid expertise in the evaluation of blood anomalies, coagulation disorders, anemias and hematological diseases requiring specialized follow-up.
Based in Switzerland, Dr. de Goycoechea worked at the Ensemble hospitalier de la Côte (EHC) as assistant clinical head of internal medicine between 2014 and 2016. He then moved on to the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV), where he worked as an assistant physician and then deputy chief of clinic in hematology from 2016 to 2020. After obtaining recognition of his federal medical diploma in Switzerland in 2019, he continued his career in hospital hematology.
Today, as a senior physician in the Oncology and Hematology Department at Morges Hospital, he supports patients requiring specialized assessment of blood disorders, in close collaboration with the other professionals involved in their care.
