About Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach developed in the 1950s in the United States by a group of thinkers from diverse backgrounds: psychoanalysis, psychology, theater, dance, literature…

This transdisciplinary foundation gives Gestalt therapy a unique sensitivity — deeply human, experientially grounded, and creatively inspired.

It emerged from the desire to offer a more vivid and sensitive alternative to classical psychoanalysis, focusing on lived experience, the body, relational dynamics, and creativity.

In Gestalt therapy, personal development is understood as being strongly influenced by one’s environment — family, culture, era, and society. Some environments nourish growth, while others can lead to trauma and the development of rigid coping patterns.

Therapeutic work involves identifying these early-formed patterns that continue to limit a person’s life, relationships, and sense of freedom — especially in their connection to themselves, love, money, or work.

Gestalt therapy takes place in the heart of the therapeutic relationship — a living encounter where emotions, desires, and impulses can circulate once more. Through this process, new freedom and movement become possible.

My commitment, in this frame, is to welcome you just as you are — without projecting norms onto your path — and to support you in reconnecting with what feels truly right and alive for you.
