About me

Since the end of my training, it has been my wish to receive broad medical education in order to treat patients as comprehensively as possible – either as a family doctor in Switzerland or in distant countries among people in need. With my current position at the Medical Center Männedorf, I am fortunate to do both: family medicine here and – when doors open – missions in Africa or elsewhere.

I gained my professional experience as a resident physician in surgery at Zollikerberg Hospital (2012–2013) and in internal medicine at Glarus Cantonal Hospital (2014–2016), as well as in family medicine with a colleague in Langenthal (2016 and 2018–2019). I also worked in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital Lucerne (2017) and later in a pediatric practice in Langenthal (2018–2019). In 2018, I received the specialist title in General Internal Medicine. Already in 2013–2014, I had the opportunity to work in a small hospital in Mozambique, leaving a part of my heart in Africa. In 2015, I attended a three-month tropical medicine course in Tanzania and Uganda, where I learned many things, not only medical – from dental extractions to obstetrics and fragments of local languages.

Amid all intercultural challenges, the universal language remains love – mutual respect and the sincere wish to truly want the best for the other. A verse from my favorite book has become especially meaningful to me: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.” (Gospel of Matthew 7:12a).
