Dr. Jeannine Sigrist 

Dr. Jeannine Sigrist is a specialist in general internal medicine and has been working at the Maienfeld Medical Center for many years. She accompanies patients in all areas of primary care and attaches great importance to personal, long-term and family-oriented care.

General internal medicine, also known as family medicine, includes the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. GPs are often the first point of contact for health issues, carry out check-ups and coordinate further medical examinations if necessary. Another important part of their work is the continuous support of patients at different stages of their lives.

Dr. Jeannine Sigrist's main areas of treatment include health checks and check-ups, the treatment of flu and colds as well as the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract infections and bladder infections. She also carries out wound checks and removes stitches and staples after surgical procedures. Her services also include home and nursing home visits, gynecological examinations, pregnancy checks, school examinations and participation in the medical emergency service.

After studying medicine at the University of Basel, Dr. Jeannine Sigrist completed further training in internal medicine, cardiovascular surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics. After working as a practice assistant in Maienfeld, she became an independent specialist in general internal medicine in 2008. She has been working at the Maienfeld Medical Center since 2011, where she looks after patients as part of the general practitioner service.
