Dr. med. Jürgen-Detlef Theuer was born in Bucharest in 1971 and grew up in Germany from 1977. He completed his medical studies in Lyon and at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Humboldt University) from 1991 to 1998. After his first jobs in the pharmaceutical industry, he trained as a specialist in general internal medicine and cardiology at renowned clinics in Germany.


From 2012 to June 2025, he worked as a cardiologist in private practice in Brandenburg.


He also gained international experience, including as a locum at the Hirslanden Heart Center Lucerne (2020-2023). Most recently, he worked as a specialist in general internal medicine in a group practice in Lucerne until April 2026.


Since May 1, 2026, he has joined the SeetalDocs team in the fields of general internal medicine and cardiology.


Dr. Theuer has numerous additional qualifications, including certifications in Doppler and duplex sonography (vessels, thyroid, abdomen), pacemaker therapy, hypertension and heart failure. He is a member of several professional associations, including the German Society of Cardiology, the German Hypertension League, the German Lipid League, the Swiss Medical Association (FMH) and the Medical Association of the Canton of Lucerne.


The personal and comprehensive care of his patients with professional competence and empathy is a particular concern of Dr. Theuer - especially in the field of cardiology.
