### Presentation of the healthcare professional
Dr Alexis Enrique Morales Boscan is a general internal medicine physician. He supports patients in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, offering comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
Originally from Venezuela, he holds a PhD in Biosciences from the University of Salamanca in Spain. His international medical career has given him a wide range of experience in different healthcare systems and in several areas of inpatient and outpatient medicine.
During his training, he practiced in Venezuela and Spain before moving to Switzerland. He worked at the Hôpital Fribourgeois (HFR) in Riaz, then at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV), where he was an assistant physician in the Emergency Department, the Infectious Diseases Department, the Internal Medicine Department and the University Medical Polyclinic. This experience enabled him to develop a solid expertise in the management of varied and complex medical situations.
Dr Morales Boscan joined the Ensemble hospitalier de la Côte (EHC) in 2019 at the Centre médical du Simplon in Renens. Since 2020, he has also been practicing as assistant clinical chief at the Centre médical de Bussigny. He is particularly interested in geriatrics and palliative care, both of which play an important role in his daily practice. In particular, he is responsible for the medical follow-up of residents in medico-social establishments, contributing to comprehensive, coordinated care for the elderly.
