About me

I was born in Czechoslovakia and lived in Brno (Czech Republic today), where I live with my wife and our two adult sons, who are still studying. After an intensive period of training and specialization, it was a long-standing wish of mine to work as a physician in Switzerland. For many years, I have had close ties to Switzerland, where I have found very good friends, and I am delighted to serve the people of the beautiful Bündner Herrschaft. I diligently practice my German (standard) with the goal of one day speaking real “Bündnerdütsch” with you.

I am often asked what the “MU” in MUDr. stands for. The Czech academic degree of Doctor of Medicine (medicinae universae doctor) is abbreviated MUDr. and is awarded after six years of medical studies. This degree is equivalent to the Swiss Dr. med.
