Prof. Dr. med. Monika Gericke Estermann 

Prof. Dr. M. Gericke comes from Zurich and studied human medicine at the University of Zurich after secondary school. After her state examination, she completed specialist training in throat and facial surgery at the Cantonal Hospital in Aarau, the University Hospital in Zurich and the Cantonal Hospital in Lucerne.

She then worked as a senior consultant at the Cantonal Hospital in Olten, where she was able to expand her surgical experience and pass on her specialist knowledge to assistants.

During an extended fellowship with Prof. Ivo Pitanguy in Brazil, she was able to intensify her knowledge of facial plastic surgery.

In order to expand her skills in facial surgery, she completed additional training in plastic and aesthetic surgery in Magdeburg, where Prof. Dr. Gericke not only gained a great deal of experience in nasal and paranasal sinus surgery, but also in traumatology and cranial injuries in particular. She completed this training with an additional specialist examination and the specialist title. Prof. Dr. Gericke is a member of the University of St. Petersburg with a lectureship in plastic and reconstructive surgery and teaches facial plastic surgery there.

Prof. Dr. Gericke completed her doctorate in the field of nasal breathing analysis at the University of Zurich.

Additional further training was provided by leading recognized experts such as Prof. Dr. med. W. Gubisch and Prof. Dr. R. Daniel, both in the USA and South America, as well as in various European countries.
