__Introduction:__
Hello, my name is Catarina.
Trained as an educator, I worked for several years supporting people with special needs. This professional experience allowed me to develop essential skills such as active listening, keen observation of individual needs, and a respectful, person-centered approach.
Throughout this experience, I have regularly encountered the effects of stress, illness, and the physical and emotional tensions that often accompany life’s journey. This reality led me to deepen my interest in body-based approaches that promote regulation, relaxation, and support for the body’s natural resources.
I thus turned to massage therapy as a complementary approach to healthcare.
Now trained in massage therapy, lymphatic drainage, and body contouring (Renata França method), and currently in training for lymphatic drainage and foot reflexology, I offer therapeutic treatments designed to support musculoskeletal and and lymphatic balance, with the goal of promoting relaxation of the nervous system and supporting the body’s natural recovery processes.
__Therapeutic Approach__
My practice is based on a holistic and individualized approach. Each session is tailored to the client’s condition, specific needs, and any recommendations from other healthcare professionals.
- Therapeutic massage addresses muscle tension, functional pain, and restricted mobility. Through targeted manual techniques, it helps improve tissue circulation, promote muscle relaxation, and support the body’s natural self-regulatory mechanisms.
- Relaxation massage, which is complementary, helps regulate the nervous system and reduce stress, thereby improving sleep quality, recovery, and overall balance.
__Collaboration and Professional Environment__
I offer a respectful and ethical professional setting, with a particular focus on safety, confidentiality, and respecting each person’s pace.
Consultations can be conducted in French or Portuguese, allowing for care tailored to all clients. Exception: women who are less than three months pregnant.
