Medical massage is a holistic therapeutic approach that goes far beyond a simple massage technique; it is not just about relieving pain in a specific area, but about understanding how the body functions as a whole and identifying the root cause of pathological symptoms.
During a treatment session, as a medical massage therapist, I begin with a comprehensive assessment: Through verbal discussion, observation, and clinical tests, I analyze your movements, the affected tissues, blood circulation, the nervous system, and the impact of stress. Based on this, a personalized treatment plan is developed, ideally spanning several sessions to gain a true understanding of the long-term effects. This treatment may include various manual techniques, which are determined during the first appointment:
- Classic massage;
- Connective tissue massage;
- Lymphatic drainage;
- Foot reflexology;
- Electrotherapy (NMES and TENS);
- Muscle taping.
As such, medical massage is part of a therapeutic framework that is fully recognized in the clinical field and is based on a holistic view of the body. Its goal is not only to relieve symptoms but also to help your body regain balance and function more smoothly in your daily life. Medical massage can be used at various stages—whether for prevention, during medical treatment, or as part of a post-surgical rehabilitation process—always with one constant goal: to help your body regain its balance.
