__Dr. Caroline Kleinecke__ is a specialist in general internal medicine and cardiology with additional qualifications in interventional cardiology as well as intensive care and emergency medicine. She has many years of clinical experience in the care of a wide range of acute and chronic heart diseases. Her main job is as an interventional cardiologist at Aarau Cantonal Hospital, where she works as a senior physician in cardiac medicine. In addition, she brings her high level of specialist and interventional expertise to our practice on a small part-time basis.
A particular focus of her scientific and clinical work is stroke prophylaxis, especially in the field of interventional atrial appendage occlusion, in which she holds a habilitation. In addition, Dr. Caroline Kleinecke conducts research in the field of digital medicine. Her focus is on the use of wearables in cardiovascular diagnostics and prevention, in particular for the early detection of arrhythmias and individualized risk stratification. Her work is characterized by evidence-based, holistic and patient-centered care, in which modern medicine and personal attention go hand in hand.
