Dr. Alexander Dikkes grew up in the Basel region. He spent his school years in Therwil and Oberwil. He then completed his medical studies at the University of Basel. He completed his basic training in surgery at St. Claraspital and in radiology at Basel University Hospital. This was followed by further training as a specialist in general internal medicine (Fricktal Health Center, Rheinfelden site and Baselland Cantonal Hospital, Liestal site) and as a vascular specialist (Basel University Hospital) with a focus on vein medicine. He has been working for "Die Gefässspezialisten" since 2018 (then still the Arlesheim Vein Center). He is married and the father of a boy and a girl.
