### Presentation of the healthcare professional
Dr Xavier Morisod is an FMH specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. He is involved in the care of patients requiring anesthesia for surgical procedures, as well as in the treatment of complex medical situations requiring specialized monitoring and advanced pain management.
With dual FMH specialization as an intensivist and anaesthetist, he has in-depth expertise in preoperative assessment, general and locoregional anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and the management of intensive care patients. His work is based on a multi-disciplinary approach aimed at providing care tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
A former head of clinic at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV), Dr Morisod has acquired solid experience in the fields of anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. Today, this university training enables him to intervene in a wide range of clinical situations, from scheduled surgery to more complex cases requiring specialized expertise.
Since joining the Ensemble hospitalier de la Côte (EHC) in 2015, he has worked in the Department of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Neuromodulation. He plays an active role in developing the department's interventional activities and contributes to the management of acute and chronic pain, in a coordinated approach with other specialists.
