Dr. Sarah Garcia is an FMH specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care. She supports patients throughout their surgical journey, optimizing their state of health prior to surgery, ensuring their safety during the procedure and promoting quality post-operative recovery.
After training at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) and the University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV), she obtained an FMH qualification in anesthesiology, followed by a second FMH qualification in intensive care. This career path has enabled her to develop in-depth expertise in the management of patients requiring specialized care, particularly in complex or high-risk surgical settings.
In 2017, Dr. Garcia set up as an independent physician within the Collège des Médecins Anesthésistes de la Clinique de Genolier. Her practice has gradually shifted towards perioperative medicine, a comprehensive approach aimed at preparing patients before surgery and optimizing their recovery afterwards.
Today, as head physician of the Morges Clinic within the Ensemble hospitalier de la Côte (EHC), she is developing perioperative medicine and offering an outpatient prehabilitation consultation. This approach is aimed in particular at the most fragile patients, to help them prepare for surgery as effectively as possible, thanks to a personalized assessment and appropriate measures. The aim is to improve post-operative recovery, reduce the risk of complications and facilitate a quicker return to daily activities.
At the same time, she provides post-operative follow-up care in close collaboration with the surgical teams, in a coordinated approach focused on the quality of the care pathway.
