### Presentation of the healthcare professional
## __Sandrine Aras - Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)__
Sandrine Aras, passionate about acupuncture, discovered this practice during her midwifery studies. In 2018, she decided to pursue training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to offer a more holistic approach to health. Her goal is to treat not only pregnant women but also the general population.
She holds a TCM diploma from the Huaxia Institute, following the full curriculum of the University of the People’s Republic of China.
Her expertise includes:
- __Acupuncture__ (with or without heat lamps, depending on the need)
- __TuiNa Massage__, an alternative or complement to acupuncture
- __Moxibustion__
- __Cupping therapy__
Sandrine also completed a two-year internship with Mrs. Chen Gesheng and furthered her training at the TCM Hospital of Guilin, China. She is currently working towards obtaining the federal diploma in TCM.
Non-exhaustive list of therapeutic indications:
- Various types of pain: chronic pain, lumbago, sciatica, hernia, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, torticollis, neuralgia, headaches
- Dermatological disorders: eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, shingles, scars, stretch marks (recent)
- Emotional disorders: stress, anxiety, nervousness, depression, sleep disorders, confusion
- Digestive disorders: nausea, vomiting, gastritis, gastro-oesophageal reflux, transit disorders, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, hemorrhoids
- Urogynecological disorders: menstrual pain, endometriosis, menstrual cycle disorders, infertility, menopausal symptoms, cystitis, mycosis, organ descent.
- Pregnancy-related disorders: nausea, vomiting, low back pain, sciatica, foetal malposition, childbirth preparation, post-partum care, caesarean section scars, problems with breastfeeding.
- Post-COVID: concentration and memory problems, loss of appetite, loss of smell
- Others: Prevention and treatment of seasonal allergies, otitis, coughs, asthma, sinusitis, vertigo, tinnitus, edema, addiction, diabetes
Sandrine Aras sees patients 1 to 2 times a week from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. without a break.
